A little about Bonny.....

After several years of teaching in New York and California, Bonny moved back to the East Coast to pursue a degree in Culinary Arts. An Internship as Pastry Chef, at the Thousand Islands Club, led to employment there for 3 seasons.  She graduated from JCC with "High Honors" in 1987.

Her next 2 years were spent as the Pastry Chef at the Watertown Ramada Inn, and while there she taught JCC's Baking Classes.  For the college's 25th Anniversary, her students constructed a cake, a to-scale replica of the campus, which served about 1,500 people.

As an amateur, Bonny has won many ribbons in baking competitions. Since becoming professionally trained, she has been awarded several medals and trophies at various culinary competitions, and was awarded the following at - Snowtown Culinary Salons ­

"First Place Professional" & "Honorable Mention" in 1989
"First Runner Up Professional" in 1990
"Best of Show" in 1991.

Two of her trophies remain in a showcase at Ramada Inn.

In 1990 Bonny returned to employment as a Speech and Language Therapist.  While pursuing a Master's Degree at SUNY Potsdam, she was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honorary Society for Educators.  Bonny graduated with "Distinction".

In 2000, she retired from full-time employment, and has been self-employed as a Substitute Teacher, a Pastry Chef, and a Caterer. During the past several yeas she has provided desserts for such area restaurants as ­ Michele's, Bistro 109, Benny's Steak House, Pine Tree Point Resort, Hart House, The Edgewood Resort, Partridge Berry Inn, The T. I. Club, The Commons, The Gill House, The Manor House, and Tin Pan Galley.  She is a Registered Wilton Method Instructor, and enjoys teaching classes in Cake Decorating, as well as cooking and baking.  Bonny also demonstrates her skills in area schools, at Bridal Shows, and for Civic Organizations.

The finest area reception sites, florists, disc jockeys, photographers, limo services, and other wedding purveyors refer their clients to her exclusively.

Her Signature Desserts and Wedding Cakes are delivered for receptions in Potsdam, Canton, Ogdensburg, Gouverneur, Syracuse, Utica, and Rochester.  Wedding Cakes have been packaged for travel to Louisiana, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois, and Hawaii.
